Give Thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16:34 The Pilgrims celebrated a Thanksgiving at the end of their first harvest after a year of disease, deprivation and death. It had probably been the worst year any of them could ever remember, but still they were thankful to God for all he had done for them. Can we do any less?
For three things I thank God every day of my life; thanks that He has vouchsafed me knowledge of His works; deep thanks that He has set in my darkness the lamp of faith; deep, deepest thanks that I have another life to look forward to--a life joyous with light and flowers and heavenly song.
Helen Adams Keller

O come, let us sing unto the Lord:
let us make a joyful noise
to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving,
and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the deep places
of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.Psalm 95:1-7
